About BAC

BAC BV provides affinity purification products and services for the biopharmaceutical market. Our CaptureSelect products are used for drug discovery upto manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals and are based on a proprietary platform technology, integrating affinity ligand discovery, manufacturing and immobilization of single domain antibodies derived from Camelids.

BAC’s products are sold worldwide and we have over 40 research products on the market for both drug discovery and purification and 8 products for large scale manufacturing. In addition, BAC's service to develop affinity products has been used by renowned (bio)pharmaceutical companies like Bayer, Baxter, LFB, Octapharma, Sanofi Pasteur, etc. since 2005.

BAC’s Captureselect products have its origin in Unilever when BAC was first established as a Unilever subsidiary in 1995. Unilever Ventures supported the spin-off from Unilever, capitalizing on the investments made by Unilever in the technology platform.

In 2005 BAC completed an external private financing round to enable the company to continue development of new solutions for lab scale separations and to advance its lead products toward launch for large scale use in pharmaceutical processes.
In 2008 BAC completed a Series B financing round to support the further development of its own pipeline of affinity products.

BAC has an extensive IP portfolio to support the products and technology, in addition to a R&D lab and manufacturing facilities for its products.
